Saraswathi Vidyanikethan is an educational institution started in 1988 and functioning smoothly. This institution is affiliated to Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan Kerala, which is the Kerala Chapter of the All India Educational Organisation VIDYA BHARATHI with Head Quarters at Lucknow. This school started in a rented building with 5 students in LKG class. The rented building could not hold the batch of students due to limited space. Naturally the managing committee thought of shifting the school. At the end, a plot with scenic beauty and serene village atmosphere was donated by Olappamanna Mana. Later on we could procure few more nearby land and construct more class rooms etc.. to accommodate more students. Now we have over 200 students are on the rolls this year. They are registered under the NIOS Scheme. We have a good Computer lab, Science lab, Children’s park and a rich Library.
We have a team of qualified Teachers and it is mandatory for our teachers to undergo a 30 days special residential orientation course which is intended to impart knowledge about their Vision and Mission.
Academic Councils right from School level to District and State level, are functioning so as to analyze and review syllabus subjects regularly and guide the teachers.
We give special emphasis for oriental education and give importance of five limbs of learning i. e. Panchamga Shikshanam which include Naithikam (Moral) Yoga, Sanskrit, Music and Sareerik (physical fitness training). There is a specific syllabus for the Panchanga Shikshanam. Our School is starting with Agnihothram daily and a an attractive prayer assembly. Apart from the academic matters students are gaining knowledge on our ancient scriptures, national heroes and our rich hetitage.
Art festivals at school, district, and state level are conducted every year. Sports and Games from school level to district; state, zonal and All India level Competition are conducted every year.
Lekhram Foundation have a dedicated School Management Committee to look after the school affairs on a highly charitable basis. In addition to this we have various sub committees to look after the smooth functioning of Academics, Vehicle management, Sports, health issues and welfare activities. Our school got various laurels in State level for sports and games and academic excellency. Based at this school we are conducting many charitable works like conducting free yoga classes, Sanskrit classes, Career guidance classes etc. The present office bearers od School management committee is appended below:-
